This tutorial will provide the steps on how to create a rule on Office 365 Exchange.
On Office 365 Exchange admin console, go to Mail Flow > Rules. Click the “+” sign to add a new rule.
Select “Create New Rule”. However, all other options can also be selected, depending on the method that you want to use.
On the “New Rule”, set the parameters for the rule. 3 basic parameters are the sender or recipient, the condition, and the action. Click “Save” once done.
The rule will take effect after approximately 30 minutes. Once the rule was created, it should be seen under Mail Flow > Rules. If you highlight your rule, on the right panel, it will show a summary of what the rule is all about.
To verify if an email that has triggered the rule is being quarantined, go to Protection > Quarantine. Click the magnifying glass and set your search parameters. If there are emails that matched the parameters, it should be listed on this page:
